Aloha! My name is Jennie. I was born and raised in NW Oklahoma, and moved to the North Shore of Oahu in 2002. I began working with children while still practically a child myself. In middle school, I started babysitting and helping my mom teach Mom’s Morning Out aerobics classes to children during the summer. That led to teaching Arts and Crafts to children for summer programs in High School. While attending the University of Central Oklahoma, I worked for Peace Lutheran Church for 5 years as a Nursery Attendant and taught 1&2 year old Sunday School and 5 year old midweek classes. In May of 2001, I graduated with a degree in Early Childhood Education.
After college, I taught Kindergarten in Texas and, later. part-time in Oklahoma. However, when I began working for United Airlines in 2002, I enjoyed the airline industry so much that I ended up traveling and working at the airport until recently. I decided to stop making the long commute from North Shore to the airport Honolulu. I now substitute teach for the Windward School District of Oahu, and enjoy being able to take on more nanny jobs. I have worked as a nanny for Nannies Hawaii for 3 years.
I am a very active person, and enjoy everything outdoors from running, hiking, swimming, to relaxing at the beach with friends or a good book. I hope to provide a relaxed, safe atmosphere for your child. Each child receives individualized care and attention based on their particular interests. I look forward to meeting you! Mahalo
